It was a truly heartwarming experience to attend the annual "Home for the Holidays" adoption ceremony this morning at the Duval County Courthouse. For a decade now Judge David Gooding has held this ceremony to make certain that more adopted children were in their new homes by Christmas. Listening to each new parent tell Judge Gooding why they wanted to adopt these children was extremely moving. The smiles on the childrens' faces as they embraced their new families was unforgettable. What a wonderful day in the lives of these children and their new parents. Thank you Judge Gooding and all those who participated in the process for making it possible for these new families to be together for Christmas.
